I think I am done with my mixed media collage. I think. I've had a blast working on it for the past few days.
The first day, I just painted acrylic and watercolor paints on the canvas. Maggie helped me with that part.

I learned many things throughout. For one, when your 4 year old rubs paint with a foam brush on a canvas like she is rubbing out a stain, all of the paint will come off of the canvas. Who knew?
I bought several things that I didn't even end up using.
On the other hand, I found myself needing stuff or wanting stuff that I didn't see at Michael's.
Thank God for Amazon.

My original sun looked weird. It was definitely missing something. So, I layered and added more rays. This part was really fun.
From start to finish, I would say this took me about 5 hours. Of course I had to stop for life and snacks and coloring with Maggie and changing Jack's diapers and feeding him applesauce.
And, of course, I had to stop for book breaks!! This Elin Hilderbrand novel is delicious.
Then I decided I needed some more texture. I've been watching a lot of Tim Holtz videos lately.
As soon as I get up tomorrow, I'm going to make sure that I'm actually finished and there isn't anything else I want to add.
Then, I'm going to take a good picture of it and post it here. I'm also going to try to sell it. I don't know how much to charge...
but let me tell you...
This is exciting!!
